Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Arizona Tanning's services, website, online store, and in-salon experiences. By booking an appointment, purchasing a package or membership, or placing an order online, you agree to the policies outlined below. We may update these terms at any time, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
1. General Salon Policies
- Clients must treat all Arizona Tanning staff and fellow guests with respect at all times.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for inappropriate behaviour, policy violations, or health and safety concerns.
- All services and prepaid packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. Arizona Tanning is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Proof of identification may be required when using prepaid services or memberships.
- Please arrive on time. Appointments may be forfeited after 5 minutes if we are unable to accommodate your late arrival.
- The final call for tanning sessions is 15 minutes before closing time. Clients arriving after this cut-off may not be accommodated.
- For safety and insurance reasons, only one client is permitted in a tanning room at a time. Guests, children, and animals (excluding service animals) are not permitted in equipment rooms.
2. UV Tanning Terms and Conditions
By using our UV tanning services, you agree to the following:
2.1 Eligibility & Usage
- You must be 18 years or older to use UV tanning equipment. ID may be requested.
- Protective eyewear must be worn during every session. Clients must bring or purchase approved eyewear.
- Only indoor tanning products purchased from Arizona Tanning are permitted for use on our equipment.
- Session times are determined by staff based on skin type, tanning history, and individual risk factors. Clients may not exceed recommended durations.
- There must be a minimum of 24 hours between UV sessions. We reserve the right to refuse service if this is not followed.
2.2 Health & Safety Disclosure
UV tanning exposes the skin to ultraviolet radiation and carries inherent health risks including:
- Premature aging
- Skin damage
- Allergic reactions
- Eye injury
- Increased risk of skin cancer
Certain medications and conditions may increase photosensitivity, including but not limited to:
- Antibiotics
- Diuretics
- Birth control
- Blood pressure medications
- Tranquilizers
- Melanotan or other tanning injections
Clients are responsible for disclosing any medications, conditions, or sensitivities before using tanning services.
3. Spray Tanning Terms and Conditions
By using our VersaSpa Pro spray tanning services, you agree to the following:
- DHA-based spray tans do not offer UV protection.
- Results will vary based on skin type, preparation, and aftercare. Arizona Tanning does not guarantee specific outcomes.
- Clients must exfoliate and remove lotions, oils, deodorants, and cosmetics prior to session.
- Following post-tan care (e.g. moisturizing and avoiding friction/water) is essential for maintaining results.
- Arizona Tanning is not responsible for poor results due to improper prep or aftercare.
- Protective gear (lip balm, nose filters, eyewear, undergarments) is available upon request.
- Solutions may temporarily stain light-coloured clothing. We are not responsible for damage to garments.
4. Health and Medical Disclaimers
- Clients with asthma, diabetes, eczema, or other health concerns should consult a physician before using tanning services.
- It is the client’s responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities.
- All services are used at your own risk. Arizona Tanning assumes no liability for adverse reactions.
5. Tanning Packages and 30-Day Passes
By purchasing or using any of Arizona Tanning’s pay-as-you-go tanning services, including minute packages and 30-day unlimited passes, you agree to the following:
5.1 General Terms
- Packages and passes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be shared.
- Clients are solely responsible for using their purchased services within the designated usage period.
- Arizona Tanning reserves the right to adjust package pricing or availability at any time, with or without notice.
5.2 Minute Packages
- Minute packages allow clients to pre-purchase a set amount of UV tanning minutes at a designated tier level.
- These packages expire 2 years from the original date of purchase.
- Minutes may only be used by the purchasing client and cannot be transferred to another individual.
- Unused minutes do not carry cash value and will not be refunded, exchanged, or extended beyond the expiry date.
5.3 30-Day Unlimited Passes
- These passes allow unlimited access to UV tanning sessions for 30 consecutive days once activated.
- A pass is activated on the date of the first tanning session, not on the purchase date.
- “30 consecutive days” refers to a fixed calendar duration starting from activation, regardless of whether the salon is open or closed during that time.
- Passes must be activated within 30 days of the purchase date or they will expire.
- When purchasing multiple passes in a single transaction, the first pass must be activated within 30 days of purchase. Additional passes will activate consecutively and may not be deferred or paused.
- As with minute packages, 30-day passes are non-transferable and may only be used by the client who purchased them.
- Clients must continue to adhere to all session frequency rules, including the mandatory 24-hour wait between UV sessions.
6. Membership Terms and Conditions
Memberships are governed by a separate agreement, available at the time of signup. Key points include:
- 6- and 12-month terms are billed on the 1st of each month, with a minimum commitment.
- Memberships auto-renew month-to-month after the term ends unless cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
- Cancellations, early terminations, and failed payments are subject to additional terms.
- Full membership policy is available on our website or in-salon.
7. Online Orders & Pickup Policies
- Online orders are available for pickup during regular salon hours.
- You will receive a notification when your order is ready.
- Orders not picked up within a reasonable time frame may be cancelled at our discretion.
- All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for tanning packages or retail products.
8. Refunds and Credits
- All sales, products, services, and membership fees are non-refundable.
- Failure to use a package or membership does not entitle a client to credit or reimbursement.
- Arizona Tanning does not offer refunds for missed sessions, early cancellations, or service disruptions due to personal circumstances.
9. Website Use and Intellectual Property
- All website content, including text, images, branding, and design, is the property of Arizona Tanning.
- You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.
- Unauthorized use of our content may result in legal action.
10. Limitation of Liability
By using our services or purchasing from our website, you:
- Voluntarily assume all risks associated with tanning and product use
- Agree to release and hold harmless Arizona Tanning Inc., its staff, and affiliates from any liability related to injury, illness, allergic reaction, or property damage
- Accept full responsibility for your own health and tanning results
11. Updates to Terms
Arizona Tanning may update these Terms of Service at any time. When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of those terms.
